Congrats! That's a gorgeous bag. Its definitely NOT too much for an every day bag. I have that same bag and also in ivory and I use them daily! They fit so much. If the chain strap is too long for you, you can tie a knot inside. I found it makes it much easier to carry. Chanel told me to do that. It wont harm the strap or anything.
