Why is there a shortage of CHANEL Black w/Silver Caviar Grande Shopping Totes?

Did you get your GST from the Ala Moana Chanel. My daughter lives on Oahu and got the last one 1/2/08. I wanted one but it was on hold. It is a gorgeous bag. I will get one later. My daughter and I started a tradition that when I come to visit we buy a Bag. Congrats!!

The SA searched all Chanels and they are all gone for now.

HI! Yes, I am on Oahu. I just purchased my GST (the washed caviar for spring/summer 08) a week or two ago. They only got three in with the silver hardware and I bought the first one, and to my knowledge the other 2 were already on reserve before they even hit the shelves. I know they had black GST's in the original caviar with gold hardware still. How nice that you have such a cute tradition!

Interesting bit of info. I talked to my local NM Chanel specialist last week about this, and she said the GST with gold hardware is part of the timeless collection, and the silver hw is actually seasonal. Chanel initially made the silver hw just for NM, but it got so popular that they started to sell them at the boutiques soon after the "exclusive" clause with NM expired. Now they sell them everywhere, but not all the time. NM has been sold out of the silver hw for months, and they "might not" get any in until probably March of this year. If you see any in stores, they're from the previous shipments, and the next ship of GST with silver hw is not expected at NMs until March.

My daughter really lucked out because one of the 2 people that had it on hold backed out. The SA at Ala Moana was fantastic. The one at his store sold that day but the one in Kalakukua (I know I miss spelled it) became available and he went and got it for her because she was at work. Yes I had the gold on hold but I am going to wait for the silver hardware. I bought the black patent pumps instead.

Wow she did really get lucky with that bag! My SA called me the day it came in, but I didn't get the voice mail until later that night (after Chanel was already closed). I rushed there the next day to snatch it up because I knew it would sell out quickly. It sucks that they released it so soon after Christmas ($$$), but I had to have it!

I'm sure your black patent pumps are TDF.

i was told that silver is seasonal as well, im from australia and we never get the silver hardware, only gold!!
