Why did they name it "Speedy"?

Just got an e-mail from LV:
"The Speedy was launched in 1930. The original name "Express" was changed to "Speedy", a reference to the development of modern means of transportation and to an always faster way of living. If you have any further questions, please let me know!"

So, there we have it. We need the Speedy now more than ever. haha!

I love it!! Just what we thought it would be, eh?

this is a story i got off a taiwan ebay speedy auction listing...in a movie that was made a long time ago...there was a monogram keepall that was in the shot and then the actress wanted a smaller version of the keepall, one that was soft and could be used for traveling, and also could be folded flat when not in use during a trip...the direct translation of the name of the movie from chinese to english is "Roman Holiday" or "Holiday in Rome"..the actress was Audrey Hepburn...
