What's your theme song?

  1. If your life had a theme song - what would it be. Or if you had a theme song what would it be?
Here's Mine "I am What I am" by Gloria Gaynor.
It's kind of a gay theme song but the lyrics work for everyone.
plus I always say I am a gay man trapped in a straight woman's body ;) so it works.

    Here't the Lyrics:
    I am what I am
I am my own special creation
    So come take a look
    Give me the hook
    Or the ovation
    It's my world
That I want to have a little pride
    My world
And it's not a place I have to hide in
    Life's not worth a damn
    Till I can say
    I am what I am

    I am what I am
    I don't want praise I don't want pity
    I bang my own drum
Some think it's noise I think it's pretty
And so what if I love each sparkle and each bangle
Why not see things from a different angle
    Your life is a shame
Till you can shout out I am what I am

    I am what I am
And what I am needs no excuses
    I deal my own deck
Sometimes the aces sometimes the deuces
It's one life and there's no return and no deposit
One life so it's time to open up your closet
Life's not worth a dam till you can shout out
    I am what I am

    I am I am I am good
    I am I am I am strong
    I am I am I am worthy
    I am I am I belong
    I am I am I am useful
    I am I am I am true
    I am I am somebody
I am as good as you

  2. Oh - and why is this my song?
because I am always getting flak for being too loud, too outgoing, too blonde, too - whatever and my take is - if you don't like it - too bad - I am what I am.

  3. Get your motor runnin'
    Head out on the highway
    Lookin' for adventure
    And whatever comes our way
Yeah Darlin' go make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once
    And explode into space

    I like smoke and lightning
    Heavy metal thunder
    Racin' with the wind
And the feelin' that I'm under
Yeah Darlin' go make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once
    And explode into space

    Like a true nature's child
We were born, born to be wild
    We can climb so high
    I never wanna die!

    Born to be wild
    Born to be wild

  4. I love you.
    You love me.
    We're a happy family
    with a great big hug
and a kiss from me to you.
Won't you say you love me too?

  5. Strangelove by Depeche Mode, I suppose. It probably has more to do with my long relationship with DBF than anything, but that's a major part of my life.

    There'll be times
    When my crimes
    Will seem almost unforgivable
    I give in to sin
Because you have to make this life liveable
But when you think I've had enough
    From your sea of love
I'll take more than another riverfull
And I'll make it all worthwhile
    I'll make your heart smile

    Strangelove
    Strange highs and strange lows
    Strangelove
    That's how my love goes
    Strangelove
Will you give it to me
    Will you take the pain
    I will give to you
    Again and again
    And will you return it

    There'll be days
    When I'll stray
    I may appear to be
    Constantly out of reach
    I give in to sin
Because I like to practise what I preach
    I'm not trying to say
I'll have it all my way
    I'm always willing to learn
When you've got something to teach
And I'll make it all worthwhile
    I'll make your heart smile

    Pain will you return it
I'll say it again -- pain
    Pain will you return it
    I won't say it again

    I give in
    Again and again
    I give in
Will you give it to me
    I give in
    I'll say it again
    I give in

    I give in
    Again and again
    I give in
    That's how my love goes
    I give in
    I'll say it again
    I give in

  6. Always considered "Across the Universe" by The Beatles my theme song. For those of you who aren't familiar with the words, here it is:

    Words are flowing out
like endless rain into a paper cup
    they slither while they pass
they slip away across the universe.

Pools of sorrow, waves of joy
are drifting through my opened mind,
    Possessing and caressing me.

    Jai guru deva om
Nothing's gonna change my world x4

    Images of broken light
which dance before me like a million eyes,
they call me on and on
    across the universe.

Thoughts meander like a restless wind
    inside a letter box
they tumble blindly as they make their way
    across the universe.

    Jai guru deva om
    Nothing's gonna change my world x 4

Sounds of laughter, shades of earth
are ringing through my open ears
    inciting and inviting me.

Limitless undying love which shines around me
like a million suns and calls me on and on
    across the universe.

    Jai guru deva om
    Nothing's gonna change my world x 4

  7. Regrets, Ive had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

    I planned each charted course;
Each careful step along the byway,
But more, much more than this,
    I did it my way.

Yes, there were times, Im sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew.
But through it all, when there was doubt,
I ate it up and spit it out.
    I faced it all and I stood tall;
    And did it my way.

  9. On the day I was born, the nurses all gathered 'round
And they gazed in wide wonder, at the joy they had found
The head nurse spoke up, and she said leave this one alone
She could tell right away, that I was bad to the bone
    Bad to the bone
    Bad to the bone
    B-B-B-B-Bad to the bone
    B-B-B-B-Bad
    B-B-B-B-Bad
    Bad to the bone:graucho:

  10. "Rooftops" by Hot Water Music, one of the best bands ever. Ever since I heard this song a few years ago, it became my personal "theme song".

I've got the scars to remind me
I've watched the clocks go around
I've walked myself through some days
That have put me where I am
In another time in another place
All things might have been in place
But for now I'm finding myself
Up here standing on a rooftop screaming
Hey world are you listening, are you listening to me?
I'm here and I'm hurting so begin again
It's another time it's another place
And we are making more old days
But for now I'm finding myself
Out here standing on my doorstep screaming
Hey world are you listening, are you listening to me?
I'm here and I'm hurting to begin again
Hey world I'm ready to listen and learn something new I'm here and I'm willing to get myself through!
