how is it a waste because it's made with fabric? it's not the only LV line made with fabric, and my antigua and my geant messager are the two bags i go to when it rains or snows...it holds up well against the weather, you don't have to worry about vachetta (mine has patina-ed, plus it's not that much on the messager).

the pionnier is 1380 right now, not 1600. It may seem like a lot of money for FABRIC but it didnt stop me from buying it, its an amazing piece, I love mine.
