What does "crackly" leather mean?

  1. The SA described the leather on a bag as "crackly".. Does it mean it feels dry? Does anyone here have a bbag with "crackly" leather? She was describing how it feels, not how it looks.
     
  2. "Crackly" may mean that it has a lot of distressing and is either stiff or dry. You could ask whether the SA was describing any or all of these characteristics. I wouldn't rule it out though, as leather can soften with moisturizing and use.
     
  3. I would describe the first 06 black city I got as "crackly", also dry. But it was pretty, just like a crackle glaze on pottery if you know what I mean??
