The truth of the Harry Quebert affair by Joel Dicker. Admittedly, one of the worst books I've ever read (only my opinion). I cannot put it down, either, because I want to know what implausible twist the plot takes next.

I just finished The Girls by Emma Cline, but it was a struggle for me to finish it. I was really disappointed in this book - it was really overhyped in my opinion. I was really unimpressed by its casual portrayal of violence and sexual assault, and its depiction of women as "girls" - powerless, constantly seeking approval and exploitable.
