I read this in High School but probably didn't appreciate it as much as I should have. Maybe I should reat it again!
The Newlyweds was OK. Not as good as the glowing reviews would indicate IMO.

A Tree Grows In Brooklyn...I read that when I was reading my way through the library when I was 11. It was an adult book and mother had to take it out for me.
I need to reread that book. It was wonderful.
I seem to remember another wonderful book from that era called MAGGIE NOW
