So I have finally reached a point where I think my collection is mainly complete ;)
Instead of buying myself new stuff in the sales I decided to take photos of my little island of bag lovelies. I started collecting about 2 years ago and I use EVERY SINGLE bag that I own. There is no bag that is there just to be admired.

My favourite brand is the British brand Mulberry; I really love the Bayswater style and it fits in with my life as a doctor/academic. I have some LV pieces as well although I moved on 3 of them as they just didn't suit me. One day I would love to buy a Chanel .... or two, but currently I can't get my head around the prices of classic flaps so for the moment I will just dream.

I hope you enjoy looking at my collection. Please feel free to ask me any questions.

First up are of course my Mulberry Bayswaters (working woman's birkins). These babies are my workhorse bags. They can hold A4 documents and are very roomy. They make me feel like I actually know what I am doing! hahaha.

My latest baby
Black grainy print bayswater with nickel hardware. This bag is just beautiful and the leather is divine.

Her fraternal twin sister (Black NVT bayswater with brass hardware). My DH bought me this bag as a combined birthday/Christmas present back in 2011 as he was travelling through Heathrow. He bought it for me in August and I was so excited I started using it IMMEDIATELY!!! 4 months before my birthday. hahaha. She is slouchier than her twin sister but just as beautiful.

Well everyone knows that Oak Bays is the most classic Bayswater. This is the bag that got me hooked on Mulberry...... It was a gift from DH after I was going through a very stressful time.... (I had a breast lump which fortunately turned out to be nothing). If only he knew that he was starting a bayswater love affair, he may never have bought me this one! oak and black nvt bays are special to me as they are gifts from him..... all other bags I bought with my hard earned money.

Oak NVT bayswater with brass hardware. I have replaced the usual clochette with a heart key chain.

I love the classics and got burned initially when I bought a choc bayswater off ebay, never again did I make the mistake of not getting something authenticated. Anyways I used my refund to buy the genuine deal and here she is in all her chocolatey goodness.

OK so let's take a little break from Bayswaters for the moment and let me show you my remaining LVs. I like what I like and for me the damier ebene print wins! It is so classic and beautiful. So meet my 3 remaining damier LV lovelies

LV Speedy 30

Lovely little Eva

Neverfull MM

and the LV facettes key chain and leopard bandeau ( I never use these but I will one day)

And the LVs that I moved on...
speedy 25 in damier ebene and red epi- way too small and looked like they were lunchboxes
fuchsia epi alma- gorgeous but too small and I had to admit that the epi leather is a bit too 'hard' for me!

Here is a pic of Epi alma

Another favourite style of mine is the Mulberry Lily. It is rather Chanel- esque but more user friendly in my opinion. These bags can go for day to night. I own both sizes, the medium lily which is of similar size to a Chanel Jumbo and the regular size which is quite roomy for a small handbag. I have removed the hanging clochettes from the bags as they annoy me!

Without further ado, I introduce

My two lily babies

I will definitely add another medium lily/medium cecily to my collection.

OK so I realise I have an awful LOT of black bags! How about I show you the colourful babies in my mulberry bayswater collection?

Black Forest bayswater with soft gold hardware, my Christmas present to myself for 2012

Navy patent bayswater with silver hardware (my 2012 bday present to myself... I may have gone overboard in 2012... haha). This bag came via a lovely tpfer as it was a seasonal from way before I became interested in designer handbags. It came to me in brand new condition and is stunning in real life as it can look black in some lighting but navy in others.

Stunning eggplant Bayswater (christmas present to myself in 2011)- she replaced a michael kors purple hamilton that DH had bought for me. I got fed up of the clunky chain on the hamilton and moved her on.

So this is the last Bayswater that I currently own. I fell in love with it when I saw an old picture of Blake Lively carrying it on Gossip Girl http://blog.mulberry.com/2011/02/11/arm-candy/.

Anyways I thought I had missed out but then it became available in one of the outlets in the UK. I tried to be good as I had just replaced choc Bays and didn't get it, then it sold out and I realised I wanted it badly. Another lovely tpfer came through and sold me hers as she had bought it on impulse and realised it didn't suit her. This baby became MINE!!!

It is very difficult to accurately capture her colour, it either comes out too bright or too dark but it is really AMAZING, trust me.

So what else do I have in my collection?
Well every girl needs some light bags that are perfect for errands, shopping, walking around all day. I think hobos and satchels are perfect for this. And of course as I am a mulberry girl at heart here is my selection of 'run around' bags....

Black Daria satchel. I usually don't like bling on my bags but when I first saw this bag it stopped me dead in my tracks..... It was love at first sight.

As I usually wear the satchel with the handles doubled up on the shoulder, I got myself the daria medium hobo in oxblood. The oxblood colour is a very deep burgundy. It matches my favourite lipstick perfectly, revlon black cherry!

And I firmly believe that if it's nice, buy it twice so I got myself the petrol colour as well

Ooh I almost forgot this handy bag. She isn't very good looking due to her proportions but she is perfect when I need a smaller bag for doctors' appointments/grocery shopping and I don't want any bling or chain handles.

The little sister of my Bayswaters
Black east west bayswater with brass hardware and heart key chain.

And last but not least, my small leather goods

Daria pouches in black with gold plaque and petrol with gunmetal plaque

Black daria french purse and pouch

Black effie coin purse. Perfect in my smaller bags, like the lilys and the east west bayswater.

What a rollercoaster that was. I hope you enjoyed my collection. I would like to add another tote and a red bag.... but I want a true red bag, not an orange red..... and preferably with silver hardware. Do you have any suggestions? I am considering a red michael kors jet set tote but would love a dressier red bag.

PS I just showed my DH the thread and he said I forgot to mention that he bought the daria pouches. hahaha. That was my christmas and bday present last year from him as he doesn't want me to get ANY MORE BAGS!!

Thank you mulberryforbes.... I still dream about your blue chanel easy caviar.... it seemed like such a perfect colour and I would have loved the jumbo size... Alas I am buying a new house. Sigh.... so many pretty things... so little money.:p

I also love your grass green lily and may add a coloured reg lily at some point in the distant future.
