Mine are kinda a mess but Coach does have that nubuk brush and stone thingy that comes with suede bags and it seems to be able to take off some of the scuffing on suede bags.

Yes, rileygirl, the key word here is "some".....I stay away from suede. You can't protect it from being dirty forever, especially in folds and corners.

I know that Aldo shoes carries a great spray for protecting suede. Works on shoes and bags. The Kiwi brand works just as well.

I have a SS05 Marc by Marc Jacobs foldover bag in lavender suede and I love it for spring. But now that it's warmer and I pulled it out of my closet---it's more grey than purple! I need to clean it! Help! What do I use?

There are NO liquid cleaners that are safe on suede! One tool that works really well is to purchase a suede brush (from a good shoe repair or leather specialist) and brush it very gently. This will get off surface dirt and raise the nap again. The key is to be gentle. For spots, you've got to take it to a really good dry cleaner that advertises leather/suede cleaning and be prepared to pay out the wazoo. To get a suede shirt professionally drycleaned cost me about $45. If the color has faded badly, I would consider taking it back to where you purchased from and requesting an exchange. good luck!

Darn.. sadly I have only had bad experiencies with suede items. Have never come across a way to get them nice and clean again :s

Suede brushes are always a good idea. If you search under the Coach subfourm you will find before and after pictures of a suede purse that was actually cleaned with a nail file. Even if you plan on sending it out, the thread about suede in the Coach fourm is really interesting!

how do i clean suede? bought a super cute zara suede red bag used at a consignment store. the only problem is suede is such a pain, there is a some darking of the suede at the bottom, nothing serious, but i still want to take care of it.
with other bags i use apple guard, but with suede i'm a bit lost.

how do i clean suede? i plan to use a spray to waterproof it once i clean it.

please advise.

Use a suede brush and suede cleaner and that should do the trick! Suede is harder to clean then other materials.

I just got this suede camel colored Kate Spade bag a few months ago and its already got some dirt on it. It's a really light color so dirt shows up really easily.

How do you clean suede? What suede cleaning products and protectants do you ladies recommend? All I really see for sale are suede shoe cleaners and I'm a bit hesitant at using those on a purse.

I know there are quite a few members who are fans of Wilson's TLC to protect their bags, and I would appreciate it if you can tell me how long one can lasts. How many bags can you protect with one can? I'm expected to spray 2 or 3 coats per bag. Thanks everyone!

It is pretty dirty and turning green in some areas. How do I clean it? Can I save my bag?
