I understand and agree with what the above posters have said ^

However, I feel that LV ultimately takes responsibility for faulty merchandise, whether you purchased from eLuxury or a boutique. I also think that if the other girl, with the receipt, does in fact want to make a return or exchange she will be able to do so, as this is partially the responsibility of the SA who didn't ask for your receipt.

That said, congratulations on your new speedy! I know how difficult it can be to wait for a bag, and I don't think anyone at tPF is here to judge. Also, Happy Birthday!

I agree with people that didn't approve what you did as I wouldn't do it either. But since you already did and nothing can change that, congrats on your new perfect item and happy birthday.

I dont know what to say about this, but I'd feel really really bad, wondering if the girl who really did purchase from a LV store will run into any problems because of this. =\

OT, what difference does it make if it is made in France? just wondering.

thank you for the guys who put it good words
and for the few who didnt.. if you have nothing nice to say, dont say anything at all;)

I have absolutely nothing good to say about what you did, and I am going to speak up, frankly whether you like it or not. What you did was akin to fraud in my opinion and I would be ashamed, both in private and public. You should have sent it back to E-luxury and waited to get one back. It frankly calls into question in my eyes how the bag got "slit." I think this is just terrible. I feel very sorry for the girl that bought her bag ethically because is she wanted to do an exchange, she can't now. I can't condone in any way shape or form what you did and if you expect ethical people on this forum to say - "How great; isn't it wonderful that you were able to fraudently return your bag on someone else's good name," I think you are barking up the wrong tree.

I don't usually pipe up and say anything, but the fact that you not only are proud of this behavior, but are trying to "call people out" for the fact that on a public forum they told you honestly what they thought of what you did, makes me think even less of it.

While LV should, and does, stand behind their items, if you buy something from E-Lux and there's something wrong, it should be returned there. Just because a boutique is a casino boutique doesn't invite fraud in and of itself.

I absolutely agree!!

I feel sorry for the other girl if, for some reason she needs, or just wants, to return her item!!

Well, I guess eluxury isnt the best place to purchse an LV from. I have read too many horror stories involving them and faulty or questionable merchandise. Has anyone here had a good experience with eluxury? I really want to purchase the speedy 35, and its out of stock on the LV website-:cursing:

Not quite sure of what to say...but I don't really have anything GOOD to say about it. You should have done the right thing and returned it to eLuxury.

I don't know weather to like this or not - what if the other girl tries to exchange her Speedy? I'd feel so guilty if I were in your shoes.

ETA: Oh, and congrats on the Eugenie and the key holder :flowers:

I purchased my Speedy 35 from eLux and it was perfect. No tax too!:tup:
