It's authentic. The consensus here was that it was exclusive ONLY in Perle to Japan and cannot be special ordered by anyone no matter who you are. So the only piece able to be SO'ed in Vernis was the bucket. Other than that, it's just not possible.
Plus, all it takes is a look at the Perle Speedy compared to the newer Miroir ones...ALL the details are virtually the same save for the color.

Yes, but the rest of the major details (split pocket on the inside, pocket on the side etc.) are essentially the same

I want !!!!! It would be a sweet bag hmm 6 to 8 month wait would give me the excuse .. "oh you could get it for my anniversary honey" .. My guess is the material may be limited and probably tough to make it into a Speedy, but I dont know anything about bag construction lol.

It is entirely possible to make a Speedy in vernis (obviously because we know that some are already out there). The real question is whether LV is willing to make such a bag.
