For THAT much money, they could have at least used the classic jacquard lining.
Edit: Got this beauty 13 years ago. Seems it was around $700. Worth every penny. It's my absolute go-to bag and still looks as good as the day I got it in this photo. The quality is unsurpassed. I can't imagine anything coming out of Prada these days being anywhere near as well made is this one.

It is a pretty bag, but I agree, the price is absolutely out of this world. Could you perhaps find a similar messenger bag on the preloved market? You'd save a lot of money!

I LOVE that bag, love it!! I’m constantly scrolling Yoogi’s and fashion phile for something similar but they are not in excellent condition usually or they are 2500 lol

I’m in the us and the resale sites don’t have much in excellent condition or if they do they are still near retail lol. I don’t dabble on many resale sites as I go down a rabbit hole when I go to eBay or Mercari, evnryone on Poshmark needs to recoup their seller fees so they are priced so high.
On a side note some People are so hard on their Prada bags. I’m hard on them too but in a maintaining way haha. Thanks for your searches though!
Yoogi's Closet is the best resale site for me. Among other things, they aren't charging sales tax for us so far. That adds 7% onto the price tag right there. I've had good luck shopping there for Prada, LV and the occasional Hermes. The new Prada nylons they get are the only thing I've seen overpriced, but they're the new nylons that (clearly) start overpriced. I check them out sometimes 2-3 times a day as they put up new stock all day. Set your filter to "Newest Arrivals" and subscribe for daily emails. I rarely go to Fashionphile these days. They've had SO many fake Pradas over the years and won't take them down. Ever since they linked up with Neiman Marcus, they're the pits.
i just went to yoogis after you said the thing about sales tax, i went and checked and its charging me sales tax of course i am in Illinois. I miss back when fashionphile was tax free hah, but i am going to subscribe for the emails! thanks for the tip.
