The Real Wedding Crashers?

  1. Anyone have any interest in watching it tonight? (10:00, NBC)
    I don't.

Every bride and groom wants their big day to go off without a hitch. Engaged couples spend countless hours and tens of thousands of dollars making sure every detail is perfect. In this new one-hour hidden camera reality series the couples actually team up with five improvisational performers to crash their own bash making for the most memorable wedding ever! The crashers will go undercover in roles including the pastor, wedding guests, and wait staff. At the end of each show, the bride and groom reveal the pranksters to their guests.

"The Real Wedding Crashers" is inspired by the New Line smash hit feature film "Wedding Crashers" and is produced by New Line Television and Katalyst's (Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg of "Punk'd").

I know the couple's in on it but the whole thing seems mean to me. (The poor guests!)
  2. I had no idea this was airing on tv! I'm not sure if this is something I would want to watch either!
  3. I saw the first episode last week. It is AWFUL. It doesn't even look like half the guests even realize any of the "pranks" that are going on. Plus they start their "crashing" days before the event, lying to the best man, bridesmaids, etc. and then do a big reveal to the entire wedding at the end of the reception. Umm...if you're just a guest, how would you know or would you care that they pretended that the church was under a defumigation tent days prior? You weren't even around to know a prank happened! It's pretty lame execution, I think.
