Mischa Barton arrived at Long Beach—one of the many pop-up clubs that has sprouted along the Croisette just for the festival—to attend a fete for her upcoming flick, St. Trinian's. Though the movie isn't finished shooting, Barton and co-stars Lily Cole, Colin Firth and Rupert Everett came prepared for the pre-wrap party. Apropos of the film's theme—a look at the lives of students in a British public school—guests were greeted by girls dressed in saucy uniforms.

Toni Collette got glam to help with the official celebrations marking the 60th anniversary of the festival. Wearing rose-cut light yellow heart-shaped drop earrings and a pastel-colored sapphire bracelet—totalling a whopping 88 carats—from jeweler Chopard, Collette walked the red carpet for the premiere of a film about films, Chacun Son Cinema.

Gael Garcia Bernal joined Chopard's 60th anniversary party at the Parc de la Roseraie, where he and his table mates watched in awe as fireworks exploded over the Croisette

"Bon anniversaire (happy birthday), Cannes!" shouted U2 frontman Bono, before the band rocked the steps of the Palais with an impromptu mini-concert to introduce a preview of U2 3D, a feels-like-you're-there concert flick. The boys from Ireland gave the crowd a thrill, performing "Vertigo" and "Where the Streets Have No Name," a welcome alternative to the usual pre-show movie trailers.
