Suspended from eBay

  1. I just had an authentic Coach purse pulled last night less than an hour after I submitted it. About 20 minutes letter I got a notice that I was suspended for trademark infringement. I know the purse was authentic, I only buy items at the Coach Outlet or Coach Boutique.

You may have seen my post this in another forum as I frequent tPF and another one - but I thought by posting in a few places, I'd get more of a response.

Anyhow, any ideas or help on how to deal with this? So far, I have emailed Coach VeRO from my other eBay ID. I'm not confident this person will help me. I sent an appeal to eBay. Also, in the Suspension email, they had a link about getting reinstated. That took me to a form you print out and sign swearing to not post anything illegal that you fax to eBay - it has your name, eBay ID, address, phone #, & email. Along with it you are to fax a copy of a utility bill or gov't issued ID. I've filled it all out and am ready to fax. Here's my hesitation - will they give this info to Coach and I'll be banned from Coach? Is there any other way to fight this without going this route? I don't mind signing this form or whatever, but I really don't want them to share my personal info with Coach that I'm a reseller.

Thanks for any advice or help.

    Robin

  2. Oh goodness, now they are going after Coach too? yikes. I dont recommend emailing them, all you will get it generic messages back. I would call them right away. They will probably ask you for the receipt for the bag. ebay is such a pain anymore.

  3. I have a phone number because I have a store. Is there another phone number I should call instead?

    Thanks.

  4. They won't share the info with Coach. Basically what you are signing is a worthless document saying that you won't do ebay bad things anymore. It's happen to me more than once and pretty much everyone I talk to that sells Coach has had it happen to them with authentic bags. I don't know how they determine what comes down and what stays up, but they need to revamp their system big time. Just fax them the papers and they will reinstate you in a few days.

  5. Thanks archer!!

  6. Not a problem I know exactly how you feel. The worst part is there is no one to complain to, no one to hear your side of it. Honestly, they don't care to hear your side. But they'll reinstate you fairly quick if this is your first time. Good luck.

  7. this happened to me last year with an LV bag. It was 10000% authentic and for some reason, vERO took issue with it and they suspended me. Only problem is that once I faxed everything back, they still never reinstated me. I dunno what happened. After months of this nonsense I opened a new Ebay ID and just started over. They won't share it with Coach...it's just you signing and agreement saying you won't "infringe" anymore. It's all BS frankly. You info is safe and you DEF are not banned from Coach hun.

  8. The paper you sign and fax back IS BS. I did all that and they apparently have suspended me for a year. They told me to write back at that time.

  9. this is such bull crap.

    i hate ebay.

do you have a reciept? that has got to help.

    good luck! >>>>.hugs<<<<<<

  10. This is such a joke when there are so many out and out, blatant fakes on Ebay - and they are claiming 100% Authenticity!

You can see the shill bidders and the "No Paypal" -or-anything-that-might-protect-the-buyer-thieving-gits, yet they carry on, despite being flagged to Ebay.

    Really cheeses me off :cursing:

  11. I love Ebay, but I'm getting fed up with the crap on the site.

  12. I have receipts for everything, and credit card statements. However, recently eBay told me that they no longer accept receipts as proof because receipts can be faked. I'm just in a wait and see mode at this point.

  13. Sorry this happened to you. I keep thinking of selling off my inventory and getting out of the business just because of this and the Coach Store Bans...

  14. I think that is what I'm going to do once they lift my suspension. Though I still have NO idea what in my listing set them off to pull it. The wording i use is the same template, just change the specifics and the pics. I need to start listing some more under my other screen name just to get rid of stuff, but I'll wait until my suspension is over so they don't permanently ban me. I'm also thinking of trying to put some things on yahoo to get this inventory gone.

Here is our entire email exchange (top email is most recent, so you may want to start at the bottom and scroll up to read it in correct time sequence), it's a joke:

    Dear Robin,

Thank you for writing eBay in regard to your account suspension.

At this time your situation has received multiple reviews and we have
concluded that your this listing will remain removed from eBay.
Although future emails from you will be read, unless they contain
additional information for review, we may be unlikely to respond.

    Thank you for your time.

    Dear Kit,
Why is no one answering me when I ask how can I prove that my items
are authentic? You are still judging the authenticity of my items
when you remove them and suspend them. Can Coach VeRO help? Will
you accept authentication by caroldiva.com? Would you please address
what I'm asking, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.
    Blessings,
    Robin

This was a canned response and didn't address anything I said or
asked. Could I speak with a supervisor? Am I the only one who sees
the irony in you saying you can't judge the authenticity of the items
on the site, yet apparently you do judge them since you removed my
items and suspended my account for Trademark Violations? How can I
    appeal this suspension?

I keep getting told there were questionable statements in my
listings, yet I use the same template for all of my listings and my
listings have been fine. Now all of a sudden there is a problem?
    That makes no sense.
    Blessings,
    Robin

    Hello,
I did review the Counterfeit Items policy, thank you.

I don't understand, if you aren't in a place to judge the
    authenticity
of items, then how can you claim my item isn't authentic and remove
    it?
How do you allow people to prove their items are authentic?

I asked several questions that were ignored and I would like
    someone to
please answer them. Can Coach VeRO authenticate my items? Do you
accept authentication from services like caroldiva.com? Can I send
    you
receipts? There MUST be a way to prove they are authentic since
    you ARE
judging them to not be authentic by removing them.

    Thank you.

    Blessings,
    Robin

Can I contact Coach VeRO to prove my listings are authentic? I know
where I purchased my items, so I know they are authentic since Coach
doesn't sell fakes in their own stores. I have receipts and credit
card statements for every purchase, all from either the Coach
    Factory
Store or the Coach Boutique. My suspension is in error, so I don't
see why I should have to wait the 7 days to appeal if I shouldn't be
suspended to begin with. Any help or info you can give would be
    much
    appreciated.

Your listing was removed because it contained indicators that are

I only sell Coach items that I purchase directly from Coach. I

    didn't.

  15. Wow! That was the most annoying use of the 'broken record' technique I have seen in a long time! :cursing:

I know it would be time-consuming, (and not a little childish, hee hee!), but one way to get a bit of revenge would be to bombard them with as many listings of fake designer bags you could find on Ebay. It wouldn't be difficult after all. Even if they didn't pull each and every reported fake listing, they would be obliged to look into them all...:graucho:

    Mwahahaaaahaaaa! :roflmfao:
