Songs which you feel/wish were written about you...

  1. Anyone? I always like Samson, by Regina Spektor...

    Samson came to my bed
Told me that my hair was red
    Told me I was beautiful
    And came into my bed

I cut his hair myself one night
A pair of dull scissors and the yellow light
He told me that I'd done alright
And kissed me 'til the morning light...

  2. erm, gosh, that is a great question. Not so much about me, but when I had my beautiful daughter - isnt she lovely by Stevie Wonder seemed to say everything I wanted to say about her, so I guess its that one

  9. When I was living at home, Numb by Linkin Park best described my relationship with my mother. I can't tell you how many times when, after I've left the house after having yet another fight with my mother, this song would come on the car radio and I'd turn it up and just nod my head to it.

I'm tired of being what you want me to be
Feeling so faithless lost under the surface
Don't know what you're expecting of me
Put under the pressure of walking in your shoes
(Caught in the undertow just caught in the undertow)
Every step that I take is another mistake to you
(Caught in the undertow just caught in the undertow)

    [Chorus]
I've become so numb I can't feel you there
Become so tired so much more aware
I'm becoming this all I want to do
Is be more like me and be less like you

Can't you see that you're smothering me
Holding too tightly afraid to lose control
Cause everything that you thought I would be
Has fallen apart right in front of you
(Caught in the undertow just caught in the undertow)
Every step that I take is another mistake to you
(Caught in the undertow just caught in the undertow)
And every second I waste is more than I can take

    [Chorus]
I've become so numb I can't feel you there
Become so tired so much more aware
I'm becoming this all I want to do
Is be more like me and be less like you

    And I know
I may end up failing too
    But I know
You were just like me with someone disappointed in you

    [Chorus]
I've become so numb I can't feel you there
Become so tired so much more aware
I'm becoming this all I want to do
Is be more like me and be less like you

    [Chorus]
I've become so numb I can't feel you there
I'm tired of being what you want me to be
I've become so numb I can't feel you there
I'm tired of being what you want me to be

  10. This song used to always make me cry when I was travelling a lot and always felt like I was leaving things/people/places I loved.

"Another Suitcase In Another Hall" (from Evita)

    [Eva:]
I don't expect my love affairs to last for long
Never fool myself that my dreams will come true
Being used to trouble I anticipate it
But all the same I hate it, wouldn't you?

    [Chorus:]

    [Eva:] So what happens now?
[Che:] Another suitcase in another hall
    [Eva:] So what happens now?
[Che:] Take your picture off another wall
[Eva:] Where am I going to?
[Che:] You'll get by, you always have before
[Eva:] Where am I going to?

Time and time again I've said that I don't care
That I'm immune to gloom, that I'm hard through and through
But every time it matters all my words desert me
So anyone can hurt me, and they do

    [chorus]

Call in three months time and I'll be fine, I know
Well maybe not that fine, but I'll survive anyhow
I won't recall the names and places of each sad occasion
But that's no consolation here and now.

[chorus, with Che's lines being sung by the starlets]

    [Huevo:]
    Don't ask anymore.

  11. You and I by once upon a time one-hit wonder Canadian boyband Distinct Nature.
It's the top song played on my iPod. Lyrics are kind of cheesy but the melody and singing are beautiful.

  12. axl rose wrote "sweet child o' mine" for me
    hehe

  13. My first grade teacher would go around the room and sing this song, and she would change the name for each person. Mine was:

    C-C-C Caitlin, Beautiful Caitlin
You're the only one I-I-I adore
When the sun rise over the schoolyard
I'll be waiting at the open kitchen door

I think that's how the song went.
