Shia LaBoeuf arrested in Chicago

Shia LaBeouf was arrested for drunk driving after being involved in an early morning car accident in Hollywood on Sunday, the Associated Press reports.

LaBeouf, 22, was driving when his car was involved in a collision around 3 a.m., according to Los Angeles County Sheriff's Sgt. S. Wolf.

"It was immediately apparent to officers responding on the scene that LaBeouf was intoxicated and he was subsequently placed under arrest,"Wolf said.

Both LeBeouf, who recently co-starred in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and his passenger were injured – as was the other driver involved in the crash. Wolf said he didn't know the extent of their injuries.

It is not know whether the actor will face felony or misdemeanor charges.

Shia LaBeouf Busted on DUI

Shia LaBeouf, in trouble again and this time it's really serious. TMZ has learned he's been arrested for suspicion of DUI.

Law enforcement sources tell us LaBeouf was involved in a car accident at about 3:00 AM at the corner of La Brea and Fountain in Hollywood. We're told Shia made a left turn in front of another car and the two collided, causing Shia's car to roll.

Paramedics were called to the scene and both parties were taken to a local hospital, but no major injuries were sustained.

LaBeouf was placed under arrest on suspicion of felony DUI after we're told he exhibited "outward signs" of intoxication at the scene.

UPDATE: We now have more info. A law enforcement source tells TMZ deputies are at the hospital right now, checking on the injuries of the victim and Shia. If the victim's injuries are serious, Shia will be booked on suspicion of felony DUI. If the injuries are minor, Shia will be cited and released on misdemeanor DUI.

Shia Messed Up in DUI Bust

Law enforcement sources tell us Shia LaBeouf badly injured his hand and will need surgery.

As we first reported, LaBeouf, 22, was arrested this morning on suspicion of felony DUI after he allegedly made an illegal left, striking another car which then caused Shia's car to roll.

We're told Shia will need surgery on his left hand. A passenger in Shia's car sustained minor head injuries and the driver of the other car sustained minor injuries as well.

Deputies are evaluating the case at the hospital right now to determine if LaBeouf will be booked on felony or misdemeanor DUI.

We're told Shia will be in the hospital "for a while." We could not get more specifics.

Shia Dodges Felony Bullet

Law enforcement tell TMZ, Shia LaBeouf will not be booked on felony DUI charges -- but he's not out of the woods.

We're told Shia is in surgery right now to fix his messed up left hand that was injured after he rolled his car at 3 AM today. Law enforcement says he'll be cited and released on suspicion of DUI misdemeanor.

As for the others in the car, we're now told a female in Shia's car, as well as the male driver of the other car, suffered bumps and bruises but no big whoop. That's why it's now a misdemeanor, not a felony bust.

Shia LaBeouf's Truck -- A Mangled Mess

The green Ford F150 that Shia LaBeouf was driving last night sure took one hell of a hit.

The passenger side clearly took a monster hit -- one hard enough to flip the huge F150 -- after LaBeouf allegedly made a left turn in front of another car while intoxicated. The roof is also scratched up from the flip.

As we first reported, Shia is currently at the hospital having surgery on his injured left hand.

whats up with all these celebs driving drunk . are you that crazy hello if you drink call a cab i hate when people drive drunk . i think they need to get there driving rights taken away for dui . sorry for the rant but i hate people who drink and drive
