This one is of the boat ride to where we call FISH CAMP- and it's justly named- we go there to catch fish- and caribou too.

DH and my cousin in the boat they used to get there- we stopped to take a break- it's a 6-8 hour boat ride on the Arctic Ocean

White fish caught in the net- sorry its a bloody pic- hope nobody is offended. These fish are either dried, frozen, fried, even aged (stink fish the elders LOVE)

I woke up to use the bathroom- actually it's an outhouse- and caught this beautiful pic!!! 5am at Teshekpak Lake!

Arctic Grayling- I've heard we catch the largest of them all- these are caught on the rod and are super sweet tasty!!!

Macy our Cocker- she's fearless and shameless when it comes to caribou---- crazy puppy doggy- she's so cute!!!

It's crazy how the weather can get like this- there is no color change on the camera or picture- it was seriously this red outside!!!!

It's an understatment to call this place "God's Country" as it's referred to in so many documents regarding the oil and the caribou and the fish and the birds- this area has been explored for oil and leases issued by government were up for bid--- but I could never imagine a big pipeline coming through here- much less loaders and trucks and all that other stuff. I'd be heartbroken if that were the case..........
