Undergraudate (B.S): Acoustic measurement of sound waves in buildings

Masters(M.S): The Quantum Repeater and it's application to long distance transmissions and quantum computing

Ph.D thesis topic is yet to be decided but possibly related to quantum optical phenomena in solid state materials and possible applications for quatum computing.

^^haha, good job Mshel!!

My undergrad senior thesis presentation is THIS Wednesday, the 25th.. and its safe to say that im crapping myself...

Anyhoo, the topic is: "The studies of E. coli and coliform bacteria recovered from ribbed mussels (Geukensia demissa) and their correlation to waterflow rate within Mamaroneck Harbor, NY and its watersheds"

I'm assuming both your grad degrees are in physics. What was your undergrad? Are you planning to teach?

Oddly, I did my undergrad in physics with a minor in psych, so my undergrad thesis was "The Physics of Hang Time". Yes, as in basketball. It was sort of a funny one.
Ph.D. in Clinical Psych: "The Effects of State Anxiety and Trait Anxiety on Athletic Performance of Female Athletes".

BA - psychology
BS - Administration of Justice
MA - Justice, Law, & Crime Policy

Thesis -
Differential Prosecutions for Maternal Drug Use: Do Differences between the Media Constructs of the “Crack Baby” Myth and the “Meth Baby” Myth Have an Effect?

That sounds really interesting! May I ask what you determined?

BSN: Premature Neonates: Readiness for Discharge

I'll just type in my abstract here, lol:

This theoretical framework was inductively developed for use with premature infants and their family members in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The purpose of the framework is to guide nursing interventions towards a premature infant's readiness for discharge. The framework explains that physiological stability, knowledge and skills, and family participation along with nursing interventions lead to readiness for discharge. The theoretical framework used for this theory development is the Roy Adaptation model. It is used to explain adaptive responses and behavior of the infant and family. Current literature is discussed as to how it supports the major concepts of this theoretical framework.

I don't blame you! I

I'm giving a presentation on the Holocaust. I'll be discussing a poem and Elie Wiesel's book, Night, and then giving an overview on the Holocaust. I just hate giving presentations, though!

we write a dissertation in the UK. basically the same thing. mine is next year so im thinking up ideas now. something along the lines of the dillusion of modernism in lower class design of the 1920s and 30s. im doing history of modern art, design and film. im specialising in design but i need to include all three elemants in my paper.

I'm gonna try to translate it correctly in english....my master's thesis in Design -which consists of writing a memoire and then creating and developping a new concept product from that "book"and researches and findings- was "young children : how to ease the transition from being at home to starting nursery school ?"....got the top grade for it !:yahoo:
