Rioni pics, reveals, etc

I have a question for all of you in this thread: I'm used to buying vintage LVs and I bought a new LV SLG recently and my LV bags are mostly Monogram Canvas so they have vachetta that patinas. Well, because I usually buy vintage I don't really worry about water on the vachetta but I was considering buying a Rioni suitcase while I have a local repair shop work on my really old hand me down Louis Vuitton Alzer. Now my question is does Rioni signature use actual vachetta that patinas and everything or is it just plastic? TIA

Ruins does use vachetta and if it helps and you go onto eBay and look for some older ones you will see how the leather had darkened over time. There might even be s few pics in the start of this thread too. I notice it does take longer to patina than LV. Does this help?

Not only does it patina, but I've seen a Rioni on ebay with water spots. The vachetta is treated with something, but I don't know what it is. I've seen really dark patina on Rioni bags on ebay, but mine darken to a certain point and then seem to stop. That color looks really good to me - just right according to my sensibilities. But my bags are mostly in a dry environment. I hear patina darkens a lot more in humid heat.

This was the darkest Rioni patina I found on ebay right now. Much darker than mine:

Scorpion, season 1 episode 4. As they walk into the casino, one of them has a piece from Rioni. It reminds me of the one with a shoe compartment at the bottom, but not sure. Could be a La Tour Eiffel piece also.

Just pulled my Rioni out and I'm falling in love with it all over again. It really is such a great bag. So easy to use with all the little pockets and compartments. Still looks like new. And I love that I never see anyone else with my same bag.

It's the 3 in 1 Shoulder Bag. ST-20183. There's a little pochette that comes with it. I think I have a version of that pochette, but not the bag itself.
