Resources: Garden

  1. I thought this would be a good place to post our favorite garden resources, whether books, or online stores to purchase seeds or other supplies.

Please post your resource, witha couple of comments as to why you like it!

When I moved I got rid of a lot of books, but am still getting a lot of good out of this...

    Rodales Successful Organic Gardening series...
    Companion Planting

I hear this is a better book on the subject, but I do not have this one...
    http://www.amazon.com/Complete-Guide-Companion-Planting--Basics/dp/1601383452/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1311795251&sr=1-1
Talks about which things go well with which, to increase yields, control pests, etc.

This website has more information on the subject...

  2. If you want some great garden books, look to Timber Press. Their books are available on amazon, as well as their own website:

  3. In a past job as a horticultural specialist for a large nursery, I found these books to be "go to" references:

    http://www.ahs.org/books/books.htm

I have many of them, the A-Z is very useful, as well as the technique related books like propagation, pruning, insects, etc.

  4. I stumbled on this site...all about seeds, seedlings, seedpods, etc. Searchable!

I was trying to figure out if what was sprouting was what I was hoping it was, and found it right here!
