Purse advise for NYC

i would carry the shoulder bag incase u need to carry extra things i usally carry a larger bag when i go to the city
as for pick pocketing as long as u keep your bag close to you and you are aware of your suroundings and have the zipper of thr bag facing you (so someone can't unzip it) you will be fine

purse, i've never gotten pick pocketed there, ever. altho i fear it may happen one day. i say bring ur purse.
