I think your decision should be based on what you want to use your bag for...I own a PST and love it..But I use it for weekend shopping or lunches, quick outings etc...It fits everything I need for the purpose I'm using it for..
All of my purses have a 'reason' to be in my collection...I use certain bags for certain things, with certain outfits etc etc..I personally am not a fan of the GST...It is too 'boxy' for me...Although I do like bags w/ structure...this is too square for my liking...My larger bags are more 'squishy' lol...So I guess you have to decide how you want to use the PST, and if it is for any everyday bag..you have to figure out if the smaller size will hold all your essentials...Good luck w/ your decision..I know it's hard but when you're spending big bucks it's worth putting some thought into it..
