Five Arizonans are among nearly 300 people nationwide who became ill after eating peanut butter tied to a multistate salmonella infection outbreak. There are no reported deaths.
The Food and Drug Administration warns consumers not to eat jars of Peter Pan and Great Value peanut butter that have the "2111" product code on the lid of the jar.
The affected Arizonans became ill between September and December, according to the Arizona Department of Health Services.
Two cases were in Pima County; one each in Maricopa, Mohave and Cochise counties. None of the Arizonans was hospitalized.
