Off I go...

  1. to the Mothership!!! And the rest of the city of course.

Hello again, yes it's me, I've come up for air! But not for long, because McSmoochy and I are off to paris shortly. There must be something in the water - we're all going to Paris! I hope it isn't too cold. Should I take my fur?

I am a very organized traveller so of course I searched all the Hermes threads about shopping in Paris and my purpose of this thread is multipurpose. I want to know if any of my Hermes sisters have been to any of the places on my list of shops where I'm headed hoping to see preowned Hermes bags and perhaps some RTW (ok and maybe some Chanel couture too LOL).

Secondly I wanted to share my list with you all who are heading over too because what good is a terrific cache of information if you can't share it with your H sisters, right? So I've left a few of the comments from the list under some of the stores for your benefit too....

There may be a couple duplicative entries but if you have one you want to add to the list I am thrilled to receive it (even if it's a beautiful lingerie shop and not H) and I snuck in a couple unrelated at the end...forgive me! A bientot!!!!!

(please sit down, this is a very long list)

    Chez Mamie
What I like about this vintage store is that it's full of the classic things you want to wear, thanks presumably, to the finely tuned aesthetic of its owners. Most recent purchase? A small black croc bag with two straps: a longer chain and a shorter leather clutch. "Ca fait très Hermès Kelly," said the saleswoman. Agreed. 73, rue de Rochechouart, 75009. 01 42 82 09 98

Alice Cadolle What was Alice Cadolle the woman known for? Inventing the bra. What is Alice Cadolle the modern day shop known for? Outlandishly priced made-to-measure lingerie. What a lot of people don't know? The shop also sells off-the-rack bras for under 100 euro. Still not cheap, but these bras are so flattering and shape-changing that you won't mind. 14, Rue Cambon, 75001. 01 42 60 94 22
Just a few minutes from Morabito lies Scarlett, a resale store or dépot-vente on Rue Clément Marot next to Rose Brun, a ruinously expensive drycleaner and teinturerie of the haute couture order. For women, Scarlett specializes in all that is Hermès, Chanel, and Gripoix — the Parisian maker of fine enameled costume jewelry and camellias (especially for Chanel). Currently undergoing a spotlight turn with the appointment of Gilles Dufour as Creative Director and an upcoming store opening on Rue Cambon, the Gripoix selection here may be good, but in a far from poverty stricken neighborhood, it's not that much cheaper than new. Scarlett also operates a men's store on perpendicular Rue Chambiges, a couple of doors down from the eternal power luncherie Italian Le Stresa, and here the accent is on good vintage Vuitton and Hermès luggage.

At Dary's, a jewelry shop that specializes in antique pieces, Sofia tried on an aquamarine ring from the 20's,
