[IMG]The man who claims he was robbed by O.J. Simpson has just spoken exclusively to TMZ.

Alfred Beardsley, a sports memorabilia collector, says Simpson and his posse pretended to be customers who wanted to buy the suit Simpson wore when he was acquitted.

Beardsley says they entered the room and two men drew guns. He said Simpson was calling the shots during the alleged robbery.

Earlier today, Simpson told the AP he didn't break into the room, he just took what was his.

One of O.J. Simpson's alleged robbery victims has opened up to TMZ and says he "couldn't believe it" when the former NFL star broke into his hotel room and held him at gunpoint.

Bruce L. Fromong, who was in the room with Alfred Beardsley, says "O.J.'s in enough trouble and for him to come and do this kind of thing ... I don't know what's wrong with O.J., it's stupidity!"

O.J. has admitted to taking some memorabilia, but denies breaking into the room to get it.

.home-page-only {display:none;}[IMG]The Las Vegas Metro Police Department just confirmed TMZ's report that they are looking into OJ Simpson's involvement in an alleged armed burglary at a Vegas hotel.

The LVMPD says OJ is cooperating with their investigation, is not in custody and is not under arrest.

The police also confirm that weapons were involved, but none have been recovered as of yet.

OJ claims he was running his own personal "sting" operation, and went into the hotel room to get back things he says are his.

In a funny "oops I can't believe he said that moment," Capt. James Dillon accidentally uttered the phrase, "The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is very committed and very focused on conducting a thorough, biased and competent investigation."

    Whoops! Freudian slip, perhaps?

[IMG]O.J. has turned into a private dick!

Simpson told The Associated Press today that a sports memorabilia dealer called him up a few weeks ago to say some collectors "have a lot of your stuff and they don't want anyone to know they are selling it."

Simpson, who says he's in Vegas for a friend's wedding, said he arranged to meet the dealer at the Palace Station hotel and conducted a "sting operation."

"Everybody knows this is stolen stuff," Simpson told the wire service. "Not only wasn't there a break-in, but [the dealer] came to the lobby and escorted us up to the room. In any event, it's stolen stuff that's mine. Nobody was roughed up."

He's a bad mutha ... shut yo' mouth!

  4. This was here, I saw this on the news this morning. Its funny he claims he was running a sting operation! lmao. That man is a FOOL!

[IMG]Sources say OJ Simpson and five other men barged into a hotel room last night, and took various memorabilia once owned by Simpson -- at gunpoint!

It happened at the Palace Station Hotel last night at around 7:15. Alfred Beardsley, a memorabilia dealer, had secured various items once owned by Simpson. Beardsley has said he had the suit OJ wore the day he was acquitted of murder.

Beardsley tells TMZ he had arranged to meet with someone last night who was interested in buying the suit and other Simpson memorabilia. Beardsley says the man was actually a member of Simpson's crew. He says the men stormed the room, two of them with guns drawn.

Beardsley says the men claimed to be police officers. OJ and others demanded that Beardsley and two other men surrender their cell phones. Beardsley refused to do so. Beardsley says the group stole every piece of memorabilia in the room, including items signed by Joe Montana. They also took a case of never-released leather editions of Simpson's book, "I Want to Tell You."

Beardsley told TMZ he was uneasy about the arranged meeting and did not have the suit in the room when the six men entered.

Beardsley says he made a 911 call, and cops subsequently obtained a search warrant for the room. CSI investigators took Beardsley's phone and took DNA samples and photos of his body. Beardsley says one of the guys roughed him up.

Cops tell us Simpson was questioned but not placed in custody. There is an active robbery investigation underway.

  6. Im sorry to say Swanky, but I would never see this LOSER as an celebrity...lol

  7. That is crazy. You can't perform your own sting operations. He obviously was not thinking!!

  8. I found this on The Smoking Gun:

    Two Running Backs, One Receiver

Simpson photo with Hoover among items in Vegas hotel stash

SEPTEMBER 14--While Las Vegas investigators mull charges against O.J. Simpson for last night's bizarre memorabilia rendition bid, news reports indicate that the former football star sought to recover, among other items, a photo he took with J. Edgar Hoover, the former FBI director. Simpson was snapped with Hoover in 1968, when the athlete (and fellow collegiate running back Larry Csonka) traveled to FBI headquarters to present the top G-man with an award honoring his distinguished public service. That black and white photo, a copy of which you'll find below, was previously discovered by TSG at the National Archives. In an interview today with the Associated Press, Simpson claimed that the Hoover photo and other memorabilia was swiped from a storage locker belonging to his late mother.

  10. This disgusting excuse for a man clearly thinks that he is above the law. Despicable.

  11. The recent news is that the guy who had rented the room is not pressing charges. He said he only called the cops because if the stuff came up missing-he would be liable. So, in other words-the guy is as much of an ass as O.J.

  12. Wow would someone call you about your own stolen goods?
    This is crazy.

I have to admit I know guys that would do the same.
Why call the police this guy has my stuff that was stolen
we are going to get it, I dont need the police we can
get our own stuff. This is crazy

  13. I heard OJ got arrested....
Since his book deal went bad, I guess he's really in a financial bind.

A bad apple that needs to rot in jail.

  14. And he obviously has always had a clean slate.

    Just sad.

  15. ^^ I KNOW! He's in the process of finding the REAL killers! He doesn't need this!
