She is an amazing pet and has such personality. She wrestles with her toys and the instinct to spray is still in her, so if she is threatened, or wants to play, she will approach in a kind of U shape with her butt and face towards you, then run away. She also does handstands when she wants to play. She will run towards you, then stop short and tip up her back legs! She will also "poof" up her hair and tail if she gets startled by a loud noise, or if you appear suddenly. Skunks by nature have very poor eyesight, but very, very good sense of smell and good hearing.
Amiekbs8, I appreciate it so much, thanks for the sweet sentiments! Thank you for sending me the boxes!
Deco, honestly, I prefer Tomato to the Rouge Vif. It's such a red, red, red, soooo beautiful, I am sure that if you wanted a Tomato Makeup, they could be found at this time still! I can't get over Tomato, and your Work is something else!!!
jo_ee, Molly is usually in bed when I get there, then my husband comes to get her to give her her calcium and dinner and then she comes back to bed after she's eaten. I read your post last night and so when she came back I gave her a snuggle and petting and thought about your post and told her how she was such a hit on tPF!
bern, fashion-cult, they don't grown skunks down under! : ) I wonder if they could even be imported? They are truly America's domestic pet!
chinkee, thank you for your compliments on the bags and I can't even imagine life without Molly, or possibly selling her! I know you are kidding : ) I get choked up even *thinking* about the fact that their average lifespan is 6 - 10 years and she turns 6 this year
We had a bad scare with her about a year and a half ago, she was diagnosed with meningitis and we thought we would have to put her down. We were so devastated. We live close to Fort Lauderdale in Florida, and we took her to Tampa to see a specialist. It turned out that our vet misdiagnosed her, and she had a terrible, terrible calcium deficiency. Once that was fixed, she is back to normal. It was an awful time, but thankfully she has fully recovered.
