The heat stamping is 100% free!! They usually do not advertise about it when you buy the bag, it is just something you have to know. I never would have known about it if it wasn't for the purse forum. Like mentioned before, some machines can only do certain types of heat stamping, ie: luggage tags, or larger items. I had originally gone to the LV store in San Francisco, and the woman told me that the key cover was too small to fit into their machine. After I moved to Santa Clara, I took my bag there and had no problem getting it done.
