Money is tight but I want a new bag...suggestions!

Have a look on trunkt.org lots of gorgeous bags on there by great new designers or try etsy.com a lot cheaper and well made.

Furla is definitely worth considering, and the great thing is that they are high-class, functional, roomy Italian-made bags that you don't see on people every time you turn around (unlike Coach, which is getting out of control with the crazy designs, cheap workmanship, not-worth-it high prices and let's face it, every spoiled teenage girl seems to have the "latest" Coach or tacky over-monogrammed kitchy-version Dooney on her arm...no thanks).

Ouch..that was a little harsh. I know a lot of people on tpf do like coach and dooney. It's ok to have your favorites, but please don't recklessly bash other brands just because you consider them inferior or "too popular".
