I am looking to make my own low fat trail mix, does anyone have any recipes or sugestions?
Well, I use my food dehydrator to dry the bananas,apples,pears,and strawberries, before they get over ripe. Then I throw in a handful of nuts, it's really good. I think next to my coffee maker and kitchen aid mixer, my dehydrator is my favorite kitchen appliance.
My mom makes trail mix with Cheerios, dried fruit, nuts and dark chocolate chips. It's really tasty!
You could omit the nuts and chocolate to make it lowfat or just put a tiny bit in. I like it with flaked coconut, but that's kinda fattening also. Sorry, that probably wasn't helpful
