Liv Tyler Slams Starving Star Moms

Liv Tyler has slammed celebrities who lose weight too quickly after giving birth.
The 'Lord of the Rings' star gave birth to her son, Milo, with musician Royston Langdon, in December 2004, and insists she had no desire to lose her pregnancy weight quickly, despite the pressure on actresses to stay thin.
She told Britain's OK! magazine: "Dieting is always a pain. I wanted to enjoy my time out with my son and not be frantic and miserable about not eating and working out.
"It bothers me that there is this culture about having to immediately lose you extra weight and I wasn't interested in getting into that."
Liv, 29, says 20 months after giving birth she is still struggling to shift the last of her pregnancy pounds.
She added: "I've been having a hard time losing the last bit of weight I'd gained during my pregnancy.

Johansson happy with her curvy figure

[IMG]NEW YORK - Scarlett Johansson struts her stuff in cleavage-baring dresses on the red carpet, but in real life, she'd rather remain a mystery.
"I can't stand those articles where people spill their life story," Johansson says in the October issue of InStyle magazine, on newsstands Friday. "After a while I feel like I know more about them than their best friend does — and that's weird. It's better when you don't know everything."
Johansson says: "Do I ever get nervous about this, right now, being the pinnacle of my career? Yeah, I do. At the end of (filming) every movie I think, `Wow — this is the last one! Nice working with you.'"

She's more confident about her hourglass figure. "I'm curvy — I'm never going to be 5'11' and 120 pounds. But I feel lucky to have what I've got." ;)
  11. ^^ Amen! She's hot as she is.
  12. Emma Thompson reveals pressure of staying thin and youthful in Hollywood

[IMG] That's showbiz: Emma Thompson is sick of having to look good

Emma Thompson has revealed the enormous pressure she is under to remain stick thin and look impossibly youthful to survive in Hollywood.

Asked how she liked doing big American studio films as she promoted her latest, Stranger Than Fiction, the 47-year-old actress replied: "It's such a burden having to look good. Especially on screen because what if you have a bad nights sleep?
"I think I could do it in France because in France women are allowed to have really big bags under their eyes like mine and they're allowed to be older and still be female and beautiful and sexy and everything.
"But in America everybody wants you to be twelve and size zero and it's like, no, I don't like it."
The double Oscar-winning actress, who has a daughter Gaia, seven, with her second husband Greg Wise, continued: "In some of the shots you can see my chin all folded up and I thought 'ooh perhaps a little plastic surgery' but what I want to see on screen is real faces doing real things".
Her sentiments were echoed by fellow British actress Kate Winslet.
Miss Winslet, 31, speaking at the Toronto Film Festival at the weekend, said: "When you're acting, you have to be able to move your face.
"You have to be able to communicate your emotions through your expressions, and I would hate to have that taken away. I've no intention of getting carved up or injected, thank you very much."
And it seems that for Thompson, that pressure might also be making the demands of motherhood seem a much more pleasurable option.
She continued: "Really at the moment my career is at home. It's got to be at home because of my daughter so at the moment I'm working at home as much as possible and not shooting very much at all.
"I want to direct but I can't yet. Really it's all to do with bringing up my daughter at the moment and therefore not doing very much."
Indeed, while Thompson's curriculum vitae has seen her in almost constant employment since the early 80s, her only work commitment currently on the horizon is starring in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, which will be out next year.
She has declined a lot of acting work recently in order to stay with her husband and daughter at their home in west Hampstead in London where she writes screen plays.
