i've always found myself fascinated by her, and you can't help but admire the girl, she's worked hard all these years and she's never been afraid to make a complete arse of herself, they make for such a cheesy couple but i love 'em !
you know, i wouldn't have said she even had an accent as such

She does have an accent - it is quite a southern accent, not quite East End London, actually at times (and I hate to say this I hope I don't offend anybody) she sounds really common.

Peter does seem to love her and the children which is nice for her considering some of the guys she has been with.

I actually think you'd piss off more people if you said she had a 'lower class' accent.

Yes Katie is from Brighton - the same place as me but my accent is slightly different (not saying that I'm not common) she seems to have more of a twang than me and doesn't finish her words very well - maybe it is my past singing training that makes me speak a little more posh!!! - not like Liz Hurley though!

i don't think it's hinting at it, it's quite clear. and since vickylout apologised for saying it in advance and actually said "she sounds really common" rather than that her accent does i can't read it any other way.

not that i'm offended btw ;)

I dont know if I watched the same series but the other day after avoiding it for a while I decided to watch Katie and Peter: The next Chapter. I must say it was a lot better than I had expected. Peter is so good with Harvey, especially considering he isnt his father, not many men would take care of a disabled child like their own. Katie is incredibly negative especially when it comes to her husband, while Peter seems kind of ditzy at times. I was expecting it to be much worse but it wasnt too bad at all.

What I actually meant by common (without sounding Posh myself) was that she doesn't finish her words off and says "fink" instead than "think" etc.

I am just after accidentally clicking on a link and watching The Next Chapter season 3 episode one or something ... i must say they are so much nicer than i thought! and there was no cursing at all ( maybe once during 50 mins show ) and i loved the way they take care of Harvey and how much they love their kids in general ... there is quite a long bit when Peter talks about him becoming dad for Harvey and what it changed in his life ...they seem to be normal, loving and cute couple - they way they cuddle and talk to each other - i really warmed up to them , i was pleasantly surprised.:yes:

Oh yes I agreed Katie is so air headed, always complaining, babbling on and on I could never understand anything that comes out of her mouth. And yes she's looks like a porn star. Those boobs are so unproportion, it seems like she wants to be a British Pamela Anderson or something. She's trying so hard to get exposure, for sure she exposed all on playboy before. Yeah scary they wanna have a family huh!
And Peter is just a big ole beef cake that needs to trimm down and get some real muscle mass, it's funny he can't sing if he tried. But I do think he has a cute face though.

I have a bit of a cockney accent (born and raised in south east london!) so i do sound a bit common when i dont pronounce the t's in my sentences. I dont think its offensive to say 'common'. You cant help the way you end up speaking! It doesnt bother me anyway. I have my telephone voice at work and do try to speak better around my boss and stuff.

I like Katie. I think she has dealt with a lot of difficult things and has come through it. She is very successful and is a really good mum - contrary to what all the papers put her through when they found out the baby was blind. They were so awful to her - saying it was her fault.

I caught up on some of the episodes. She had dyed her hair darker which looks much better and she was pregnant in one episode and posing for some magazine naked like Demi Moore did. Another was their wedding and her dress was Barbie pink and it was in a tent outside of a castle.

I do agree NOW, that they take very good care of the first child.

Katie's a great mother! She puts her sons first and dotes on them both. She is great with Harvey who suffers a lot and is very hard to take care of.

Peter too, dotes on Harvey and is great with him even though he is not his child.

I hope they stay very happy for a very long time, they seem to be good for each other.
