they did that at the lv shop here (In the repairs and serviceing department, lobby), i didnt like it cos they had a really old vintage one that was dirty, they simply placed a piece of glass over the top of it, dont know if its worth the $ though?

I'd like one in a less distressed state, too.

I have seen them used as tables in all sorts of conditions... Never with a glass covering, though. LOTS of coasters!

Furniture is very expensive here - so I definitely think it is worth the $.
