You should contact ebay that it is unpaid. Then - I think - you don't get charged for the extra listing.

After 7 days you can file an Unpaid Item Dispute. This will return the Final Value Fees for the item, and should give you a free relist. If the buyer doesn't respond to the dispute, you can neg them without getting negged in return. Once someone has enough UIDs against them, Ebay will close them down, so filing the UID helps the whole ebay community! Hope it all works out for you!

ps - if they are removed from Ebay earlier than 7 days (you may not be the only one they have bid on), you can file the UID straight away.
