So it appears that this limited edition scarf collection is part of a new project, that includes cooperations and exhibitions, for wich Hermès will launch a new dedicated site http://jaimemoncarré.com/ but the site is still under construction at the moment.

It makes sense considering that the silk section has given H excellent results in sales during the last few years, and it appears to be the second most successful section after the leather handbags/small leather goods section.

So last year there was the special limited edition with Liberty in London, and this year it apparently Colette's turn (super trendy shop in Paris).

I don't know if you guys have seen this. I don't speak french, but what I'm gathering is that Hermes will be doing a four-scarf, mini-collection with uber-chic, French boutique, Colette. It will be available to the public between Sept. 27 and Aug. 16. I'm guessing those two scarves pictured are from the collection. Man, I should really learn french. I'm not sure how I feel about this, and here's why. Does this collaboration along with the new scarf website all smell a little "re-markety" to anyone else? It's obvious a successful company must re-image itself, but i'm not sure if I like this whole like street vibe. Maybe I'm just old fashioned, but none of this stuff seems to be quite in line with the heritage. Of course, it's all fabulous.

Brieux 75 just uploaded some more pics of the other Limited edition styles

Here is what he says in french (I sum up):

It is a limited edition of 4 scarves for Colette, so I suppose that we have now all the styles they will carry.
I have uploaded screenshots from his blog, so full credit goes to Brieux, and I hope he doesn't mind me doing this.

He also says that part of the project is the new site www:jaimemoncarre.com , + a new magazine by Dean Langley, Francesca Burns, with Matt Irwin as a photographer. The magazine will tell the story of 4 young women travelling in 4 coutries/citys, Paris, London, New-York, Tokyo.

I just looked at this new website. I'm surprised there's no upcoming event in the UK
