I agree! I'm not a fan of the chanel shape with the quilting. This one is really classy. As for the laura merkin, I'm a fan of the envelope like clutch she has, but I'm biased and think I want to get one myself in gold! How much was this YSL one?

I tried the Chanel clutch in the store... it is REALLY big. Too big for a clutch, IMO.

although the chanel may be big, it's gorgeeeeous. it's extremely versatile and will look good with either day or evening wear just by looking at the picture. worth the money, i think. Chanel!

buuuut.. if you don't go for the Chanel, i would go for the Laura Merkin. i think i'm going to get one in white for prom! =)

Do you guys really think the Chanel is a day purse as well? I worry about being too dressy with jeans and a t-shirt.

I would definately use use the Chanel as a day purse. And dress it with Jeans and definately sexy shoes ~

Definitely Chanel! Chanel is classic and timeless! You can still use it when you're 80 because it never goes out of style!!!

For a more affordable option, I like the Lauren Merkin...her clutches are so pretty!!

If money is not an issue, then DEFINITELY the Chanel timeless clutch...that bag is GORGEOUS!!!!!! It's on my list too!!! Btw, the price went up on Feb. 1st...it's now $995 for the caviar clutch in white, not $895...
