Help - Fall Expandable with long chain - should I buy it?

I really love this bag! But the chains are too long for me and the silver is holding me back too, since I wear mostly gold accessories.

Not only does it have silver chains... there is a very visible silver zipper that goes all the way around the bottom of the bag and up the sides (the expandable part).

I've bought bags with silver HW before... but never so much shiny silver!
