Help...advice needed...

  1. Hi,

Am not sure if anyone can advise me here...
or if anyone who owns a Neverfull MM...
    - Is the serial no SP2027 valid?
    - Will the handle go through wear and tear whereby it is normally maroon red...I just find it doesn't look as glossy as the other LV bags I have and seem to "fray".
    - Does it crease on the top of the bag...like crinkles...

    Thank you,
    Julez

  2. the date code is valid. starting in january of this year, they changed the format of the datecode into the number of the week of that year. so i'm guessing your neverfull was made in the 22nd week of 2007.

  3. Thanks...

Anyone else can help me with the other 2 questions?

  4. All three are normal to me.
The redish glazing is often uneven on Vachetta leather from my experience, sometimes it's very very pale orange like and not glossy at all, while at other times the glazing is thick and dark red in colour.
Creasing is always normal. Leather is skin, so when you bend it, obviously creases will occur, especially on the under side.

  5. Hi! First, date code questions can be answered here for more help:
    http://forum.purseblog.com/louis-vuitton-reference-library/date-code-questions-71687.html

And I've heard of the straps fraying as well, I think there was a topic on it not too long ago, I'll see if I can find it. Here: http://forum.purseblog.com/louis-vuitton-reference-library/owners-of-lv-neverfull-bags-straps-are-shredding-153502.html

As for the top of the bag, I don't think it should crinkle but I don't have the bag so it might be normal but I'm not sure.
