Handbag incident on plane gets passenger kicked off

For those of you who asked why she had to put her Gucci on the floor:

It does depend on the flight attendant, the bag could be ignored, but once he/she decides to tell you to put your bag on the floor, it has to be enforced. She can't just let it go after a passenger refuses, because there are other eyes and ears watching. Non-compliance with a cabin crew member is a federal offence. We all know how narrow the space is between the passenger seats. In a worst-case scenario, any obstruction could cause trouble for a passenger trying to evacuate in a time expanse of, say, 60 seconds. That's why aviation regulations require seat backs up, tray tables locked, carry-ons stowed, earphones removed, etc. It simply isn't safe, just like it isn't safe to drive without seatbelts on so most places have laws against that.

haha! i did a netscape search on this topic...LOOK @ WHAT I FOUND!! ACTUAL PHOTOS OF THE GIRL...

SORRY, NO PICS OR VIEW S ON THE BAG....

Well, in her defense, I had a bag ruined because there was some gross liquid on the floor that stained it. Now I'm more careful. I don't know, I bet they wouldn't give her a bag or something to put it on - (benefit of the doubt for the purse maniac here).

wOW check this comment out , came from some dude i suppose...

Of course coming from Hong Kong it was probably a fake Gucci anyway!!

Not all bag are to be considered FAKE just cuz it's comign from asia.

I would have found something to wrap my bag in even if it meant taking off my shirt! Of course, then I would have been escorted off the plane for indecent exposure...

I'm really surprised. Whenever I fly I keep my handbag on my lap. No one has ever bothered me about it. Maybe the bag was really big?

If it was a really expensive bag, I wouldn't have put it on the floor either. Then again I wouldn't take an expensive handbag on a flight because accidents can happen.

OK, I am really failing to see any humor in this. She delayed the flight for an HOUR. How many people may have missed their connections, how much cargo/mail didn't make a delivery in time because a lady refused to comply with a flight attendant's directions (which is illegal as pointed out in an earlier post).

I know we cherish our bags but please. She could have gotten a towel or something else to protect it on the floor. And when the plane was airborne she could have brought it back out again. :censor:
