I just read an article and it made me laugh out loud! Here's the recap:
The porn industry made over $13 billion last year, but says that the growth is starting to become stagnate and it's due to three things:
1. Pirating. (enough said)
2. Celebrity porn tapes. The author said the highest paid actress in a porn film wasn't the 3 top stars...but Paris Hilton!
3. And...that High Definition is great for 'football and National Geographic' but not so much for flawed naked humans!
Who would've thunk it?!:roflmfao: and...ewww:Push: Just had an image of that hairy porn guy from the Surreal Life! That's one place H-D should NEVER venture!:rolleyes:

I sure won't shed a tear. I think the reason the porn industry is going down is due to maximum saturation (no pun intended). Once you've seen it, it all looks pretty much the same....

I have always said also that the biggest mistake the adult film industry has made is that they do not make anything geared towards women. I'm not saying that women should become porn mongers either, but let's face it, watching Ron Jeremy (even CLOTHED) isn't exactly a turn-on... :P :rolleyes:

there was an article about this recently in the ny times. it said some porn stars are getting plastic surgery because hd shows just a little too much. sometimes less is more. i agree with some of what all of you have said, it's usually the men in the porn videos that we don't want to see in hd! i don't think guys who watch porn want to see those men in hd either. what the porn industry really needs is some hot male porn stars, not just ones with huge penises.

personally, i think nothing will ever kill the porn industry. just too many horny people out there who love to see people getting down and dirty!

I'm not sure there are any better pictures of Ron "the Hedgehog" Jeremy.

Roo, to address your point, they do make films catering to women, but let's be honest, how many women are going to be regular buyers of said films? I know girls who enjoy porn, but enjoying porn for a female usually means they're ok with watching it with their bf/husband, not that they're heading up to the porn shop picking up the latest Jenna Jameson or Avy Scott flick.
