Costco has a brand called little hotties and they carry both hand and feet warmers. I always buy the hand ones for my dad he has Raynaud's syndrome so his hands are always cold. He'll use the hand size ones in his shoes if he's outside a lot, I've never gotten the foot size so I don't know how big they are compared to the hand size. Outside of the fall winter season the only place I've seen them is outdoors stores like REI, Cabellas, ect and generally they are pricy there. Which is why the Costco ones are so great the price and a big quantity can't be beat.

Thanks for the great info!! Will remember this when I move back home

Glad to help. It was funny the first time I got them for my dad he's like why did you get that there's no way I'll ever use that many. I made him store them in his car and coat pockets and they got used quicker than he thought they would have. Even using the hand size ones in his boots if he had to do stuff outside like shoveling snow. I think a part of his hesitation in using them is because they stay warm for so long so he felt like he was wasting them if he only used them 20-30 minutes. But then he realized that it just means he can use one set for the whole day.

These have been around for a while (decades). A friend would give them to me on my birthday -- enough to get me through ski season. I put them in my ski boots and always kept a pair or two in my bag just in case. Just make sure you wear socks - you don't want your bare skin directly on them - because they can get very warm.

Hope to find some here in the UK. They sound like lifesavers. I have not been able to ski for a good few years as my hands get too cold and the pain becomes unbearable.

I didn't know these exist until I visit Japan about 10 years ago :P Plus my hands didn't get this cold until I grew older:doh: Good idea to put them in ski boots!! It's almost ski season  now I don't have to worry about my feet anymore.
