Going to fashion shows?

How does one go about going to a fashion show, like during fashion week? Do you have to get invited, or what?

My personal experiences is, I'm invited by the designers themselves, they send me tickets to their shows. The reason would be, for me at least, is my affiliation's and work within fashion industry.

There are other ways of viewing show's, for instance, working @ one is another way (showing seats, handing out drinks, guest list check,etc....

Usually you get an invite, but you can also call and get a ticket by letting them know what affiliation you have (if any)...if you're in the fashion or media industry, you should have no problem!
