Favorite Asian Beauty Items and Brands

Majorika for mascara.
Kate for eye shadows.. actually all the Japanese brands make really good shadows. They all have that subtle pretty sheen that's not too shimmery or frosty like a lot of the American brands are.
Kiss Me for double eyelid glue.

Hi sakura123:

Yes, cleansing oil for acne prone skin are fine. They are very gentle as they do not contain any scrubs. They leave your skin very refreshed - none of that tight and pulling feeling.

--T'estimo, Visée and Coffret D'or eyeshadow palettes are good. Lunasol is great too but if you prefer pigmented eyeshaow, then this is not for you as it only provides sheer pigments.
--Kate gel eyeliners are great if you want intensity and pigment.
--Maquillage makes fantastic lippies
--Dr. Jart and Skin79 makes really good BB creams

Hi!! Welcome to Beauty Bar.
I guess Im not the only ABC (American born chinese). I cant read or write chinese but I can only speak it.

I uses these Asian brands: Laneige (little sister of Amorepacific), Amorepacific and Shieido.
Im sure that once everyone tried amorepacific enzyme peel, you will fall in love with it. Cleans out the dead skin and exfoliate your skin. Your skin will be baby soft after you pat dry with a paper towel.

I dont know where you located.

In NYC Chinatown/Little Italy area called Kam Moon, they sell asian products and the packaging is so cute but words is in Korean or chinese or japanese. I stopped shopping there because you dont know if the product is meant for you. I dont want to buy something that may damaged my skin. I shop at Sephora and Amore shop. These both shops have asian brands like Amorepacific and their instructions is in English.

I use Peter Thomas Roth Anti-Aging Cleansing Gel on AM/PM and it helps with wrinkles, fine lines, minimize pores and acne.

Before I step out of the door, I will use Peter Thomas Roth All Day Oil Control SPF 20 Moisturizer because I have lots of oil on my forehead and nose area. This moisturizer help me absorb all the oil and so I dont have the wet look hahaha.

For Night: I use PTR Anti Aging Cleansing Gel.

After that, I use the Amorepacific enzyme peel and start massaging and scrubbing my face with it for 1 minute. I wash it off and pat dry with my paper towel. You will notice how soft your skin is after you use it.

Once my face is dry, I used peter thomas roth acne gel every night to prevent acne and pores.

Once I put on my acne gel from PTR and I need to make sure my skin is dry before i put on the Murad pigmentation lightening gel to get rid of my old acne scars/dark spots from middle school. I have acne scars on my chin and chin line area from middle school. Most of them disappearred within 7 months

At least, I used caudalie night cell renewal cream to get rid of my acne scars, fine lines, wrinkles.

I had been following these steps for a year and Im happy with the results. My skin no longer breakout as much as before. I used to break out with 6 or 7 pimples on my face when my menstrual comes. Now I only get one small one or none.

For shisedo, i use their facial brush to clean my face. They clean my face with the products im using very well.

I'm white. Half-Polish & Half-Brit so very pale, with blonde hair. Don't speak a lick of any Asian languages.

DollyWink lashes, the #1s.
skin79 Super Gold & Lovely Girl BB Creams.
Elisha Coy BB cream in the black tube.
Laneige Moisturising Cleansing Oil in the Wintertime.
The Face Shop Whitening/Brightening/Pearl Extract face mask sheets.
My Beauty Diary Peony & Rosewater Brightening Mist (there's also some Glycerin in there; much cheaper for makeup setting than my Avene thermal water!)

Also: I do go to Chinatown or even some dollar/variety stores now for cheap Asian lashes. My falsies are always destroyed after I take them off, so I always just toss after one use.

SKII facial mask: worth every last penny.
Shu uemura cleansing oil - gets the thickest makeup off at a go
BB creams: My favourite's BRTC. So natural so dewy - even my facialist didn't realise.

I'm Chinese too, and love Asian skincare! My favorites are My Beauty Diary face masks, Naruko Oil Out Clay Cleanser (I use it as a clay mask), Ettusais Pore Wash, and Cure Natural Exfoliating Gel.

I'm Chinese American and I love Asian skincare... Although sadly, I don't think there are many "big" Chinese brands - most of the top lines are Japanese or Korean. My Beauty Diary, from Taiwan, is probably the closest?

A few of my favorites:

1. Shiseido Eudermine. A classic... I have no idea how it works, but really has helped with breakouts for my combination skin. Feels great on and is incredibly hydrating.

2. Kose "Mask White" clarifying black mask, Shiseido purifying mask, and/or Sulwhasoo purifying mask. I rotate between these, depending on how my skin feels... The Sulwhasoo is the gentlest and the others are a bit more intense.

3. Lunasol eyeshadow. These skew toward sheer and natural instead of intense and pigmented, but they give a great "effortless chic" look.

4. Amorepacific gel moisturizer. Amazing for combination skin during the summer! Lightweight and hydrating... But a little bit expensive >.<

5. Amorepacific enzyme peel. Super gentle and very effective... Doesn't leave skin red at all!

Some of my faves are:
1. Majolica Majorca lash expander mascara. This give major length and moderate volume but it will HOLD a curl and not flake on me. It only smudges the teeniest bit.

2. SKII mask - I decant the extra serum in the pouch into a vial and get about 10 day's extra out of it. My DH recently commented how luminous my skin seemed just after taking the mask off

3. Cure: Natural Aqua gel - this is a great non-abrasive exfoliator. You just massage this around until the dead skin balls up. You do have to wash your face with a cleanser afterwards as it leaves a weird film. I get less dry, flaky patches since using this product.
