Okay, I really know nothing about LV, except how beautiful the bags are But I've been wondering something. Like the monogram type of purses, well are they made out of leather? Like a monogram speedy 25, for example. Is it just the handles that are leather, or is the whole purse leather? If not, what is it?

I believe the handles are vachetta, and the monogrammed part is canvas. Someone correct me if I am wrong...

yep.. the piping the zipper pull and the handles are leather.. everything else is canvas. the line (and damier, and multicolore, and mostly limited editions) are all made on canvas that's been coated.

^^^Yeppers. On the monogram and damier the trim is leather the rest is coated canvas.

LOL..no..it's not a stupid question at all..

Only the handles and trims for speedy 25 are made of leather. The rest is coated treated canvas (special silk screening etc..etc..) I think the canvas is very very durable. it will outlast leather.
