ok, another question.
do you think Disney would have SLOWLY CHANGED if nobody brought up this matter?

It IS weird how there are no birth moms! Maybe Walt Disney had an issue with his? I mean, think about it... Ariel, Pocahontas, Cinderella, Jasmine, Belle, Giselle (she even mentions it in Enchanted), on and on....

I believe Walt's mom died when he was very young. Hence, the theory of why he chose the projects he did. Bambis mom gets shot, Dumbos mom gets taken away, etc...true story.

To be honest, I don't consider the crows from Dumbo to be racist.

And I didn't see them as subservient, either. They were the ones who encouraged Dumbo to fly.

I think it's the link of calling the lead crow "Jim" (as in "Jim Crow") and of course, the crows are black and use that very "down home" dialect and behavior...sort of reinforce the whole folksy minstrel stereotype of African Americans.
