SuLi, there are many nice looking Resort styles that aren't online yet. =) These are only a few of the 100+ styles that will be landing in MJ stores. I am sure that there will be something for everyone -- sporty, fun, funky, classic, etc.

HI...Resort doesn't seem to be up at the Marc site, only Spring..
This is the first collection (meaning Spring) where I do NOT like a single bag. Usually I hooked on at least 4-5 bags...
Do you all think this is since the designer left..forgot her name..Joy?? mag

^ Maggie, there are more than 100 styles each season, maybe you will change your mind when you see the rest? I only saw the pictures of all the styles for the upcoming 2 seasons at MJ store. The official homepage focuses mainly on PATCHWORK line. I spoke to one of the stores about the homepage not having Resort 06, he said he's contacting them about it..

Joy Gryson left MJ a while ago.

I saw Quilted Signature Leather line's Irina (19 x 11 x 8") & Irina Hobo (18 x 15 x 8.5") at MJ store today; they look similar except that the 1st one is a tote & the latter is a hobo. They are both very wide & big to me; I was telling one of SAs there how they are so big, she tried the Hobo on & agreed. You should try them out in person first.

Can you tell me what you mean by the patchwork designs? This is mainly where I have been choosing which bag to go after..I wish there were a better complete picture list somewhere each time they all come out. This forum sure helps but living where I do I have to depend on the net. Didn't know there was more to each release than was on the marc site. help. maggie

The official site does not list all the styles/colors. The site's not well very designed, the styles are just tossed together; it would be nice if they are grouped by individual line.

Patchwork is the big quilting for Spring 2007. There will be 5 different lines: PATCHWORK, PATCHWORK METALLIC, PATCHWORK CANVAS, PATCHWORK PYTHON, and PATCHWORK CROC. Stam is featured in almost (if not all) every single line. BG's pictures of Patchwork Python Stam and Patchwork Metallic Stam:

^ You can only find the pictures of all the styles in Marc Jacobs stores' Look Book. If I can get the pictures of all the ones from both Resort 06 and Spring 07, I will post the pictures or send them via e-mail.

For Resort 06, the styles from Soft Calf Classic (always a part of Collections), Quilted Classic (part of Collections since Fall '05), and Mixed Quilted Classic (newly introduced) lines are clean and classic looking. There are always some newly introduced lines that don't appeal to typical MJ fans such as Quilted Signature (MARC JACOBS on the front) Leather and Nylon lines. Many members (me included) here don't like the big logos (ie tacky?), but others might think those designs are great.

i am not an MJ fan but am hooked on stam. i don't like the big logos either. it seems to be following some general directions following LV, Dior, Gucci, and recently Prada taking it further by making not only their logos but spelled out brand names as part of their design. i personally do not like them, make me feel somewhat "naked" and exposed if i were to carry them. i prefer a bit of mystery in carrying a bag where only those "in the know" can identify who made yours :smile:

by the way, i just purchased the TOPAZ STAM RESORT 06. it is more structured, in that the bottom and sides do not sag/flop as much, the leather is grainy-er (less maintenance?), and the colour actually seems different under different lights. when i saw it in the shop, in the evening under white light, it looked lighter, more washed out, greenish blue with almost a hint of pearly white surface, which i like as it looked pretty with white, grey and other more neutral coloured outfits. but in some instances, it looked really stark, closer to the pictures posted under the resort 2006 forum here: very green... i am now conflicted and wonder if i should try to exchange this for 'almond'? we do not have MJ boutique here in singapore, there is only one shop which stock MJ and they only have almond and topaz... your thoughts..? should i wait for s/s07?
