Chanel "MOBILE ART" Project 2008-2010

  1. I don't know whether anyone has posted on this yet, but Chanel is doing a project called "Mobile Art" that will be traveling around to different cities such as NY, L.A., Paris and London. It will feature art from 15 artists that were asked to create pieces inspired by Chanel's 2.55 Classic Flap bag . The project kicks off in January 2008 and is open admission to the public!

I think it's perfect, as the flap bags always seem like works of art in themselves to me. :p

  11. Thanks for sharing! I too thought of the LV MOCA exhibit when I first heard about this. Great photos!

  12. i've seen the show in hong kong and it is worth going to if it ever comes around to your city.

you view the art individually as you are given a set of headphones that instructs you when to get up and travel to see the pieces of art. the voice of the speaker is this woman with a rather raspy voice. i'm not sure if that was meant to be a tribute to coco as i heard her voice described like that.

  13. Thanks for sharing....i hope i'm there to see this project...it's really a piece of ART....hehe
