yeuxhonnetes, You'll be fine...As long as you find a job and am earning those US dollars to buy those gorgeous bags of yours...that's good enough...Really, getting my PR doesn't mean something changes in me. However, In ozland it's quite impossible to get into a good big firm if you don't have your PR, and that's why we want to get it asap!

Wannabelyn - I took my IELTS on the 29th of April so its been 2 1/2 weeks after I got my results and submitted my application that I got it. I applied under skilled migration which doesn't take more than 3 weeks they say. Are you doing it thru sponsorship? Otherwise, dun worry you'll get it very soon!!!

And maguses...nopes nopes nopes...my friend calculated that it's even cheaper to buy LV off-tax in Aussie than to get it in Msia, cause I think there isn't a tourist tax-refund scheme in Msia is there? (I dunno cause I'm obviously not a tourist!)

nah the sponsorship thing was too much trouble for meee
so i just did the ermmm deposit money thingy for extra 5 points
u got it 2.5 weeks after u applied!!! that's fast!!!!!!
well thing is rite is sent in all my documents 2 mths ago and they never allocated an officer to me.
i rang them few days ago then i finally got an officer.
i sent her my ielts results which i got on weds....
i still ahven't heard back from her
i hope it won't be too long. or i hope ig et it

hmmm.... sometimes need to put a little elbow grease into it, otherwise they dun do anything abot our applications... once you get a case officer it really doesn't take long...

Let us all know when you get it! Can't wait!

Hi everyone, I thought i'll quip in as well. Originally from Kuching (well, born in Sibu) but have been living in New Zealand for the last 16 years. Unfortunately, I haven't gone back all that often in 16 years.

DH and I went to KL and S'pore last Oct to catch up with some friends and just have some R & R. I don't know KL very well but I practically lived in KLCC when I was there :P I sure miss ais kacang, pineapple tarts, kuih, nasi lemak, satay, roti canai....ok, someone stop me!

Hi everyone,

Just stumbled on this! I'm 33 and PJ born and bred! Have been handbag mad since birth I think lol. Feel free to ask anything about shopping etc in KL, I am a shopaholic! Am also a journalist specialising in what else... fashion!

Just wanted to holler... fellow M'sian here too! Went to ISKL and living in Houston now... If anyone is in the area and wants some M'sian food, we have some fine eating establishments that will bring you that much close to "home"! :tender:

OMG i used to go to ISKL for the Forensics Tournament:yahoo:! my school was one of the invited schools, and i went every year when i was in high school.

when my family moved back to KL from France my dad wanted to put me in ISKL, but my mom said it was too far from where we lived. and really, it was.

Hi Reena

Wish I knew you before my trip to KL last year. I'm a lazy shopper so unless there's an Hermes or Top Shop or MNG or Kinokuniya, I'll just head to the nearest eatery :P

I'd love to read your articles! Are they online? Looks like we're the same age! 33 years YOUNG.

did your friend go to the one near the Tun Hussein Onn Eye Hospital or the one in Taman Megah? the school was originally near the hospital, but then it moved, a few years before i started school there.

Think it was Taman Megah as she was living in Damansara Jaya, don't think she'd go all the way to KL for school.

Just realised forgot to say in my reply earlier that yes, am in Malaysia.
