BV Bag Lovers - What other bags do you own?

I live in Dubai, in the desert so we don't get much rain but if I were at home in London I would definatly copy your fantastic idea and buy a "rain" bag. I would be devastated if my Bottega bags got caught in the rain!

Oh dear. I just got home and looked in my wardrobe and I have a pink suede Fendi bag and another Louis Vuitton bag that I had totally forgotten about. Oops. Does anyone else genuinely forget what they have?

what bags are you selling and price? do you have pictures?

cristine, welcome to tPF - a forum to drool, admire, obsess, enable, discuss, debate, gossip, talk, whine, grouse, dissect, etc etc about bags. But there's absolutely no selling of bags here. Else, risk being banned from here.

These are the pieces that survived the last cull. Seeing them listed in one place is a little scary - this addiction is way out of control. And I still have a wish list.

bete, how do you like your valextras? i just saw them IRL at barney's and they look so sleek... are they easy to use?

this is an interesting thread... i always wondered whether there's a certain "type" that goes along with people who love bottega... my collection is a bit more casual:

recent buys:
BV lightning montaigne + continental wallet (magnolia)
Kooba Elisha blonde
Chloe Edith whiskey
Hayden-Harnett Suki ladybag saddle
Marc Jacobs babe tote, chocolate

older:
1 kate spade
1 longchamp
1 LV
1 cole haan
1 coach

hmmm... i feel like i've been trying to buy 1 of every brand here...

BlueGenes and ms piggy:

The Valextra I have is sleek and well made, and I can't wait for the other to arrive, as it's a very different style. I believe there are 3 different leathers, ranging from smooth to grained. The Boston bag style does tend to collapse a bit as you carry it, so keep that in mind. Mine is the carry-on/travel size, so it's lined in canvas. The others are lined in leather. This one would weigh a ton with leather lining. It's so simple and unadorned that it could never be in or out of style.

^^^Almost forgot - check out the Bag Snob site for some great posts about Valextra, with lots of pics and information. One of the Snobs just scored a Boston in patent leather (I didn't know they offered patent) that is stunningly beautiful.

funny, I thought that it would be interesting to know. great thread.

I downsized a lot but here goes

AH bronze shopper
AH snakeskin evening bag (shoulder)

CHanel black quilted shopper
Chanel beige quilted small flap bag

2 Celine Boogies (my other love) - the classic original in beige and the 'biker' version in white
Celine brown hobo

BV black handheld with intrecciato weave

Fendi ltd edition silver/gold evening clutch

Michael Kors everyday bag in black - huge, inexpensive and all the baby stuff fits, plus I don't get a fit when he plays with it.. haha

and my last coccinelle that I haven't sold off yet - it is huge and my work bag. never found one again in this size and a 'normal' price.

wow I really downsize! great though, so now I have space for a few more refined pieces...! like another BV or the damier azur speedy (first LV)

everyone has amazing collections!
